Homepage

Overview

The first thing you read is 'Bikeability Professionals'. The proposition here could be more engaging and explain exactly what Bikeability professionals are straight away.

The CTA to take you to the main website is very small and I'm sure it could be missed. An alternative is to include a nice call to action, back to the main site in the navigation / header.

There seems to be a few places to find the login CTA throughout the site. Having it in different places may confuse the user in thinking there's more than one login. If there's one main login, you could feature this in the navigation. That way you'll be able to access it whatever page you're on.

Overall

The ease of your navigation across desktop is totally fine. It’s accessible, meaning that it’s on a nice white background colour, and it’s also very legible. However, the above are a few pointers that could improve it.

Providers

Overview

The overall page structure could be improved. Login is the first thing you see, but it would be better to explain what providers are first, then ask people to login. (As mentioned above, a universal login in the header would make more sense).

There’s great content lower down the page but users may lose interest straight away if there is nothing towards the top of the page. The page design suggests an assumption that existing providers are accessing this page initially.

The page ideally needs to tell me what providers are, the benefits of becoming one, and how I become one. Then show any related news towards the end of the page.

Instructors

Overall

Very similar to the providers comments above.

The overall page structure needs work - again login is the first thing you see rather than explanation of what the role of an instructor is, how I can become one.

Course management

Overall

Rather than explain what course management is, the first items we see are anchor links that jump you to further content. These would be much better used lower down the page.

When clicking on an anchor link it scrolls slightly past the section title, this could aid confusion as you’re not sure if you’re at the right place.

Sometimes anchor links are best placed fixed to the left of the screen, scrolling down with you. That way you always have access to them, rather than having to scroll back to the top of the page each time.

FAQs

Overview

This is a really long page and hard to navigate. A better way to organise this information would be to have each question in an accordion, so clicking it opens up more information. This will reduce clutter and be easier for the user to process.

You could also introduce categories (if not too many) to break up the page so users can decide on what they are looking for. They could be anchor links similar to previous pages, but fixed so they are always in view.

The search at the top is great but on first glance it could be mistaken for a drop down, thus not getting as many clicks.

Pinterest has a great example FAQ page.

Documents

Overview

Similar comments to the above regarding page structure.

The style of the jump to links are all the same, but they do different things. Some are anchor links and some take you to a separate page. It’s always good to break these out so users know what to expect.

There are a couple of issues with some of the links. For example when clicking Marketing & PR, it takes me to a separate section and you’re not too sure where you. It's also difficult to get back to the overview page.

Training

Overview

Similar comments to the above regarding page structure.

The overall structure of the links could be improved. Sometimes I click on one and I can still see some other anchor links. For example, Training Videos - this takes me to a separate area where I can still see a section for Training Videos. It’s not obvious why I’m still seeing them.

The pages that have no content/information should be removed to reduce frustration.

News

Overview

When you click on a news article, natural behaviour would suggest you go straight to the article, but instead you get an in-between page, displaying the same information just styled slightly different (title now in black and not hyperlinked).

Clicking on the small green body copy eventually takes you to the article, but this could easily be missed. On some articles which link to the newsletter, the web link shows as: https://email.wearesuperfantastic.com/t/y-68AE002563FFDF81. There could be confusion over domain name now not showing as Bikeability. This could be due to the content being pulled directly from the agency email newsletter system.
